Dirk picked up his crew in one of two VANOC trucks that the 12 person grooming team this afternoon at 3pm. Why again this early... well if it doesn't freeze, I'm told it is best to groom early to allow the overnight darkness and time to set up the tracks. Another record for these Olympics... 2 grooming shifts in the same day !
Tomorrow is a big day for XC. The long-distance 30kms for the Women - classic.
All went well, Dirk said upon his return at 10pm. Now in bed, he will rise for a 7am start to 'salt the tracks' and Jury directed fine tuning.
