Four strong Canadians started - all finished well - infact 3 in the top 30, and Ivan Babicov landed a top 10 finish, with 8th place. Total competitors 98, with 56 Nations competing...xc skiing is the largest number of nations at the XXI Olympic Games.

As a 1988 XC volunteer, I'm really enjoying your blog -- a bit of vicarious excitement without the long hours. I guess the media is right in thinking that only hardcore XC fans will be interested in the grooming details. So, thanks from the hardcore here in Calgary. We're praying for snow for you.
